SMART opens new office and showroom in Chicago
Third U.S. office will support customers and resellers
CALGARY, ALBERTA --- September 21, 2006 --- SMART Technologies Inc. announces the opening of a new office in Chicago, Illinois. A full-service facility that will support SMART customers and resellers, the 3,500 square foot office includes a showroom equipped with the full range of SMART products, including all SMART Board™ interactive whiteboards, interactive pen displays, interactive digital signage, wireless slates, software and a fully interactive training center. SMART’s new office is located at 20 South Clark Street, Suite 1950, in The Loop, Chicago’s downtown business district.
Now in its 20th year, SMART is expanding its global presence to meet the growing demand for its education, training and collaboration products. Its products have been sold throughout the United States since 1991 and are available in over 100 countries worldwide. This is SMART’s sixth office outside of Canada. Other international offices are located in New York City, Washington DC, Bonn, Tokyo and Shanghai. SMART is the interactive whiteboard market segment leader, and some of its key customers in the Chicago area include Chicago Public Schools, University of Chicago, Northwestern University, Accenture, Exelon Energy, Robert Bosch & Co. and the Chicago Police Service.
